We stopped into Rustica Brick Oven Café on a Monday afternoon around 2:30 PM with a fairly large group of 8 adults and 1 child. One of the main reasons we chose Rustica was the variety of menu options, especially their extensive gluten-free menu since my wife has to eat gluten free. While Rustica is not a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, I was impressed with the precautions they took and the care they showed when preparing my wife's meal. She ordered the gluten-free pizza and really enjoyed it. We were also happy to learn that their gluten-free pizza crust is made in-house rather than being a frozen pre-made crust, which definitely sets them apart from many restaurants offering gluten-free pizza. Our table ordered both the regular mozzarella sticks and the gluten-free mozzarella sticks for a little taste test. Surprisingly, those of us who can eat gluten actually preferred the gluten-free version. Both had great cheese pull, but we thought the coating on the gluten-free mozzarella sticks had a better texture and crunch. I very disappointed with my order. The pasta was dry. If it was freshly done then pasta wouldn’t have been so dry. If I would have been informed that the 13$ salad was not going to come with the salad dressing on it I would have been able to ask for more dressing. The little portion that was given barely covered the salad.

Best gluten free options at a pizzeria!! My toddler son and I need to be GF and eating here did not disappoint. We had GF Sicilian pie and GF broccoli spinach rolls. It was delicious and you really couldn't notice frankly that is was GF. They set the standard for gluten free eats at a pizzeria 👏

Unbelievable Gluten Free Italian food. Haven't been able to get a proper chicken roll in years and fried calamari! They have a separate GF menu and were reviewed in Newsday recently. Great quality and flavor and you wouldn't know it was GF!

Nestled on the corner of Nassau Blvd. and Cambridge Avenue in Garden City, Rustic Brick Oven is pushing out more than just a delicious pizza. We enjoyed a crisp fresh Caesar Salad, a Shrimp Caesar salad, traditional style Napolitan pizza and a thin crispy crust pizza with prosciutto. Additionally, two of us enjoyed Veal Parmigian Heros. Everything was delicious. The aroma walking in is amazing, and the outside courtyard is filled with beautiful flowers. Feel like stepping in for a slice of Naples on your plate? This little Bistro packs huge Italian flavors!
